With Occupy Wall Street in full force, Wisconsin Republican Congressman Paul Ryan was asked why he wants to cut Pell grants for college students who are struggling with tuition. Although he is not opposed to the protests and demonstrations as long as they are peaceful, he says students should simply work more and take out loans. He does not think the government should be involved in the student loan business. This is almost in direct opposition to part of the “We Cant Wait” campaign where Obama is trying to ease college graduate’s repayment of their federal loans so new students are not afraid to go to college because of financial reasons.
