Companies Use Odd New Ways of Hiring New Talent

In order to bring on creative people who think outside of the box, small companies are thinking of odd, new ways to find the best talent.

Instead of implementing the age-old interview questions for their candidates, some small businesses have taken to asking odd-ball questions such as, “If you were shrunk to the size of a pencil and put in a blender, how would you get out?” instead of the standard “Where do you see yourself in five years?”

Most likely, companies have started implementing these seemingly odd-ball questions to get a feel for how prospective employees would use their problem solving to get themselves out of a tough situation. For 20-somethings entering the job market, competition is at an all-time high and innovative thinking is almost a must.
