PBS Newshour proposes ‘Structural Unemployment’ may be to blame for an unemployment rate stuck at 9 percent nationally. Due to the fast pace of technology, the jobs that are being created require skills that many Americans may not have. Economics correspondent for PBS Paul Solman explores whether nationwide joblessness is simply the result of a failing economy or if a bigger shift toward high skill work is occurring which could leave many job seekers behind even when the economy recovers.
