They pay well and offer you the chance to step out of the typical work environment to dabble into something less mainstream, but much more exciting.


Toy Creator

It’s every kid’s dream job working and creating cool new toys. Now, as an adult, you can live out your childhood fantasy. As CNN states, toy creators- professionally known as industrial designers- use their creative art skills along with their engineering and business skills to develop concepts for new toys. Once they’ve got their concept down, they create it, build it and then test it out to see if it’s good to go. Make toys that will bring joy to thousands of children, and get paid a median salary of $58,230 while doing so.

Fashion Doll Designer
Speaking of toys, for those who love fashion and dolls, this profession is perfect for you. Much like designing clothes for people, designing clothes for dolls- like the famous Barbie doll- is a big job. Mattel, Barbie’s manufacturers, is one of the largest clothing manufacturers. Use your fashion skills and creativity to create fashionable and chic clothing and accessories for thousands of dolls across the U.S. Then get to see your fashion ideas come to life. Doll designers earn an average of $62,610 a year.

Sommeliers
Ever wonder how restaurants picked the perfect wine to go with your meal? Chances are a sommelier, a certified wine expert, chose that wine. They know the ins and outs of wine, the process, the ingredients and the perfect meal pairing to satisfy any restaurant’s customer. So if you love wine and food, and love to see people eating a good meal, then this is the job for you. The more experience as a sommelier you are the more you get paid. Certified master sommeliers earn $80,000-$160,000.

Photojournalist
Have a passion for capturing moments through the lens? They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and photojournalists work with writers to capture a picture that will encapsulate the story of each article. As a photojournalist you can travel for international news reporting, or go to a sports event to capture a player making that winning goal, touchdown or shot. Photojournalists earn on average $42,430 a year.

Brewmaster

For those of you that prefer beer over wine, this is the job for you. Brewmasters are the creators of their own tasty beer brew. You have to do your homework to become a good brewmaster, though. There are college courses you can take, and many start off shadowing other brewmasters. The better your skills are the tastier the brew you make will be. Brewmasters work at a range of breweries, from small local ones to giant corporations like Coors or Budweiser. Earn on average $42,430 for working with this beloved beverage.
